Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using LeoPen ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

LeoPen is an AI-assisted law enforcement documentation and review workspace that may provide, depending on the contracted product and configuration:

• AI-assisted narrative drafting and report review
• Advisory fact checks, confirmed-fact prompts, and supported official instruction review
• Source-grounded questions across agency-provided policy material
• Warrant preparation support for officer and supervisor review
• Administrative and operational controls included in the applicable deployment

User Responsibilities

• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Use the Service only for lawful law enforcement purposes
• Ensure accuracy of all information entered into reports
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Report any security vulnerabilities immediately

Working Drafts and Human Review

LeoPen outputs are decision-support material and working drafts. Users and their agencies are responsible for:

• Reviewing and verifying all facts, wording, citations, and sources
• Making all charging, probable-cause, admissibility, compliance, and submission decisions
• Following agency policy, prosecutor guidance, court rules, and applicable law
• Using the Service only within an agency-approved deployment and workflow

Security and Deployment

Security controls, providers, data handling, retention, support access, evidence, and responsibilities are defined by the applicable order, contract, and deployment documentation. No product label independently determines an agency's compliance obligations.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
• Share login credentials with unauthorized personnel
• Use the Service for personal or non-law enforcement purposes

Service Availability

While we strive to maintain high availability, LeoPen is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance and emergency updates may temporarily affect availability.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these Terms, security concerns, or at the request of your agency administrator.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes.
